Ryanair, which began as a small Irish budget airline has since expanded to become Europe's biggest airline.
Founded in Ireland in 1984, it was named after one of its founders, Tony Ryan. Starting off with just a few short flights from Ireland to the UK, its popularity and cheap prices allowed it to branch out further around Europe.
The Ryanair family expanded and now owns four sister airlines. It has an impressive fleet of more than 300 Boeing 737-800 aircraft.
It flies to 5 domestic destinations and 222 international destinations spread over 40 countries. Its top destinations include Madrid, Pisa and London.
Ryanair is known for being ‘no frills', meaning that you can forgo certain luxuries on board to reduce the price of your flight.
It is regularly referred to as the most famous budget airline in the world. By 2016, it had carried more international passengers than any other airline.
