About Air Cote D'Ivoire

Air Cote d'Ivoire is the flag carrier airline for the Ivory Coast. The African country is a French-speaking nation on the west coast of Africa, which until May 2012 was without a flag carrier airline after its previous one went bankrupt.

Originally set up with a private-public entity structure, partial ownership was given to Air France and the Aga Khan Fund For Economic Development. The Ivory Coast government retain a 58% share, but it was agreed that the company would employ 13 flight captains, 12 first officers and 37 cabin crew.

There are plans to make Port Bouet Airport a regional hub, sharing services and technical support with Air Mali and Air Burkina.

Operations began in November 2012, with a maiden flight between Abidjan and Dakar. The airline now operates flights to 26 airports in 18 countries. As of 2019, it flew ten aircraft including 4 Airbus A319-100s and 2 Airbus A320-200s.

Baggage information

Hand Luggage:

All passengers are allowed to travel with one piece of hand luggage, weighing 10kg (56cms x 45cms x 25cms). Remember to keep all fragile possessions and valuable documents safe.

Checked Luggage:

Passenger’s hold baggage allowances depends on the cabin class, which will be indicated on your electronic ticket. Business Class travellers are entitled to a maximum of 30kg on domestic routes and 50kg on regional routes.

Economy Class travellers on Air Cote d’Ivoire are allotted 23kg of hold baggage allowance on its local flights and 40kg on regional flights.

Infants & Children:

Parents can carry either a folding child stroller, a mini cradle or an infant car seat. Children pay 75% of the applicable adult fare and are authorised the same baggage limit as adults. Infants are allowed one bag (10Kg).
