About Air Italy

Air Italy was a privately owned Italian airline established in 2018. In 2019, it became the second-largest airline in the country, following Alitalia, the flag carrier of Italy. The airline was a subsidiary of AQA Holding, owned by Alisarda and Qatar Airways, and operated scheduled passenger services. In February 2020, it ceased operation due to financial difficulties.

You can select your preferred seat 48 hours before the departure for “Economy Standard”, and "Economy Preferred" is available until the day of departure. Passengers can download their boarding card from 7 days before departure.

Airport Check-in

Airport check-in opens 3 hours before flight departure time and closes 45 minutes before flight departure time.

Food on board

For special meals, passengers should request at least 48 hours before departure. Based on the departure time, Air Italy offers breakfast snacks, lunch, and dinner.
Business class passengers are served a wide choice of pasta gourmet, meat and fish main courses, cheese. The meal is served with a selection of red and white wines, soft drinks, beers, coffee, herbal teas, and tea. The kosher meal is composed of different dishes certified by Rabbinical associations.

Cabin classes

Economy Class:

The new 737 MAX 8 aircraft offer more space with an adjustable headrest and USB connectors. The overhead bins are wide to allow simple storage of hand baggage.
For international flights, the 228 Economy Class seats offer provides a highly personalized service that includes seats with USB port and one socket every two seats, menu offer “ Le Delizie” with several options, including pizza, “Recaro” seats with 31-inch pitch, Inflight Wi-fi, and on-demand onboard entertainment with over 100 types of content including movies, TV shows and music.

Business Class:

The intercontinental flights use airbus A330-200, offering 24 seats with a 78-inch pitch for maximum comfort. The executive Business Class comes with a fully flat bed with turndown service, seats with USB port and socket, Italian mattresses, pajamas, slippers and amenity kit by Fedon, Inflight Wi-fi, and on-demand onboard entertainment with over 100 types of content. Passengers enjoy a la carte on-demand service, Champagne, Italian wines, gourmet gelato, and espresso.

Baggage information

Air Italy has a strict, tiered system in its baggage allowance.

For Economy Light:

Passengers have no luggage included with their ticket. Passengers buy for EUR 25 for the first additional piece of checked luggage. Extra luggage cost EUR65 each. One piece of infant baggage is included free of charge, with a maximum weight limit of 10kg.

For Economy Classic:

Passengers are allowed a piece of checked luggage with a maximum weight limit of 23kg. Extra luggage cost EUR65 per piece.

For Economy Premium:

Passengers are allowed to carry two pieces of luggage with a maximum weight of 23kg per piece. Extra luggage cost EUR65 per piece

For Infants and children: The airline allows foldable strollers with a protective bag. Children’s bicycle trailers come as an extra bag. A maternity bag can be used in place of hand luggage if the dimensions are no greater than 115 cm in total (55X35X25).

For an accessory bag, the dimensions are no greater than 45X20X36. Infant (0-23 months) not Light, carry on: 1 piece of hold baggage up to 10 kg
