Paris Charles de Gaule Airport is the largest international airport in France and the bsecond busiest in the whole of Europe. Over 75 million passengers pass through the airport every year. It's located 14 miles northeast of Paris in Roissy-en-France.
The construction of Charles de Gaulle Airport-CDG began in 1966. Its first terminal opened in March 1974. It now has three terminals, with the third being located 1.9 miles from Terminal 1.
105 different airlines run passenger services to and from the airport. The most popular destinations are New York, Barcelona and Montreal.
The airport is connected to central Paris via the Regional Express Service. There are 4 trains an hour to Saint-Rémy-lès-Chevreuse, and 4 trains an hour to Massy–Palaiseau. The journey time for both is around 30-35 minutes.
Terminal 2 has a TGV station running services to a wide range of destinations including Lille, Strasbourg, Toulouse and Bordeaux.

Passengers have access to the different shuttle services, available free of charge, for transfers between terminals. CDGVal is a free automatic shuttle moving between terminals of the airport. It links each terminal, railway station and car parks. The distance between a terminal to another is 8 minutes.
