Dublin

Located 7km north of Dublin, near the town of Swords, Dublin Airport has welcomed over 400 million passengers to this historic and beautiful capital city over the last 80vlyears.

As one of Europe’s busiest modern airports, it serves as Ireland’s gateway to destinationsvaround the world, offering services to 31 intercontinental locations including London, New York, Paris and Dubai.

The airport is one of only two in Europe that offers border preclearance services for passengers travelling to the United States. This allows travellers to complete immigration and customs procedures before they land and skip the queue upon arrival in the USA.

Opened in 1940, the airport operated restricted services during World War 2 before services to London and Amsterdam resumed and three new concrete runways were completed in 1948.

Major expansion was completed in the 1970s before an award-winning new terminal was opened in November 2010. This allows the airport to handle more than 30 million passengers per year.
