Phuket International Airport (HKT) is the third busiest airport in Thailand. This modern airport is situated just 32 kilometres (20 miles) outside the centre of Phuket City, making it the perfect place to fly to if you're thinking of visiting this popular tourist hotspot.
Recently renovated to increase passenger capacity, this three-terminal airport can now host 20 million passengers, both domestic and international. Its busiest international routes include Singapore, Kuala Lumpur and Hong Kong, with many people stopping off in Phuket on their way to these destinations.
Acting as the main hub for Bangkok Airways, Thai AirAsia and Thai Airways, over 20 other well-known airlines also fly here.
