From the beauty of the Baltic Sea to the shimmering royal city of Kraków, Poland is both Gothic and modern.

This central European destination has Warsaw as its capital, a city brimming with cobbled streets, Soviet architecture and the prettiest of pastel-coloured houses. Museums reveal the history of Polish Jews, the country under Nazi occupation and poignant stories of the Oswiecim Auschwitz Concentration Camp. Poland also has a thriving coffee culture and come summer, the most glorious of Chopin concerts in the Royal Łazienki Park. Kraków is home to the magnificent Wawel Castle which houses an original Leonardo Di Vinci painting as well as a haunting crypt where Polish Kings were laid to rest. A little further on sits the Wieliczka salt mine, a colossal underground wonder of statues and chapels carved into the rock salt. The cities of Wrocław, Gdańsk and Toruń detail incredible architecture, Gryfino lays bare the cryptic 'Crooked Forest' and on the border of Slovakia sits the majestic High Tatra Mountains where views of the most epic kind unravel in the clouds.
