Passengers can check in online or at the airport check-in counter. 

 

Online Check-in:

Online check in for regional and international flights open 30 hours before scheduled departure time and close 1 hour to departure. You can check in via the KQ website or mobile app, choose your seats, and download or print your boarding pass. 

 

Airport Check-in:

All International flight passengers are requested to check in at least three hours before the departure of their flights. Counter closes an hour before the scheduled departure time. Passengers travelling to domestic destinations are required to provide acceptable proof of identification at the check-in counter. They are requested to check in at least one and a half hours and be at the boarding gate 30 minutes before the scheduled flight departure time.

Kenya Airways in-flight catering service is top notch, offering passengers a variety of authentic and exotic local delicacies. 

Guests have the pleasure of eating selected Kenyan  yummy culinary experience that reflects the simplicity, hospitality, and authenticity of Africa. The service applies to flights traveling above 7 hours.

Kenya Airlines offers Economy, Economy Comfort, Super Economy, and Business cabin.

Economy Comfort Class

Provides ample space and legroom in the airline’s state-of-the-art Dreamliner. The cabin has a front quick exit, and passengers enjoy an Overhead Cabin for their carry-on luggage.

Super Economy Class 

Offers extra comfortable seats and free middle seats, which are positioned in front of the Economy cabin.

Business Class

Comes with luxury and seasonal food and beverages.  The class’ Premier World experience is excellent. It comes with customized menus and services. Though, the services vary according to flight distance.

Each passenger is expected to carry one bag (10kg) as hand luggage with maximum dimensions of 56 cm X 36 cm X 20 cm or  44 linear in/112 cm. The carry-on baggage should be placed in the overhead compartment or underneath the seat in front of the passenger. KQ has no underseat storage in its bulkhead seats during landing and take-off.

For regional flights, Economy class passengers can check one piece of baggage at 23 per bag while Business class passengers can check one piece of baggage at 32kg per bag. 

For passengers visiting Nairobi, Dar es Salaam, Khartoum, Entebbe, Liongwe, Lusaka, Addis, Mombasa, Bujumbura, and Kigali from Europe, their checked baggage allows 2 pieces for both Business and Economy Class. Other routes have access to only one piece for any cabin class.
