Arik Air - W3 is one of Nigeria's premier airlines. It operates from two hubs, one at Murtala Muhammed International Airport in Lagos, and another at Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport in Abuja. It serves a network of mid-haul and regional destinations across Africa.
In 2006 Arik Air took over the facilities in Lagos that had been previously used by the liquidated Nigerian Airlines. Later that year, Arik Air began operating domestic flights across Nigeria.
In August 2006, Arik Air was given authorisation by the Federal Ministry of Aviation to commence flights to Amsterdam, Trinidad and Tobago, Madrid and London. In 2008,
Arik Air was granted permission by the US Department Of Transportation to fly to destinations in the USA.
It currently operates a fleet of 22 aircraft. These include 9 Boeing 737-700s and 4 Boeing 737-800s. It has now built up a network of services, mainly covering Nigeria and several other West African airports.

The frequent fliers are a blend of travellers keen on exploiting affordable fare options, comfort or the modest factor of availability. Ironically, the airline has been the topic of inconsistency and rapid expansion in the last decade, yet a preferred option among the lots considering it’s domestic and regional reach.
You can book its Economy (Y) and Business Class (C) tickets online, subject to fare changes and availability. Its Business Classes are a good mid-point between Economy and Premium Economy of few global airlines, with more comfortable seating arrangement and somewhat enhanced service. There’s a curtain dividing Economy and Business Class yet, and service is slightly provided separately on either cabin. Business travellers are, in most cases, provided priority baggage privileges.
Hand Luggage:
All passengers are allowed carry-on baggage that must fit within the dimensions of 55 cm x 35 cm 25 cm and not more than 12kg (for regional flight) and 6kg ( for domestic flights). Passengers with extra-luggage must be checked-in and it attracts additional charges. Valuable items should be conveyed in the hand baggage. International flyers are required to carry a valid passport and visa (where required). Tickets are non-transferable.
Checked Luggage:
Passengers flying Economy Class are allowed 20kg of checked baggage, while Business Class passengers get a maximum of 30kg. Checked baggage must not exceed 90 x 70 x 43cm / 35 x 27 x 17 in dimension.

Contact the airline about checked-in baggage allowance for infants. Children and infants must be accompanied by their parents at check-in.
