Lagos city Marina, Lagos, Nigeria.

Landscape of Ado Ekiti in Ekiti State, Nigeria.

A diverse nation, Nigeria is the most populous country in Africa and is quickly becoming a modern powerhouse. Home to the bustling city of Lagos, its rising art scene has inspired a growing number of festivals devoted to poetry, literature, photography, fashion and theatre.
From slave ports and ancient Muslim cities to Yoruba shrines and river villages, you can quickly immerse yourself into the deeply rooted culture here - there is nowhere else like it. Although Lagos has become Nigeria's beating heart, its vast national parks and stunning mountain ranges provide a glimpse into the raw edges of the world. The national parks are simply incredible, housing some of the most endangered species in West Africa, including Nigeria-Cameroon chimpanzees, Cross River gorillas, and putty- nosed, mona and tantalus monkeys. For some downtime, there are over 500 miles of unspoilt beaches to enjoy. Sharing its coastline with the Niger River Delta, Nigeria's dense tropical rainforests are a sight to behold.
